Personalizing Your cPanel Experience
cPanel offers several customization options to make your hosting management more efficient. This guide shows you how to personalize your cPanel dashboard.
Changing the cPanel Theme
While the default Paper Lantern theme works well, you can switch themes if alternatives are available:
- Log into cPanel
- Scroll to Preferences
- Click Change Style
- Select your preferred theme
- Click Apply
Setting Your Default Search Behavior
cPanel includes a search feature at the top of the dashboard. You can:
- Search for features by name
- Quickly access common tools
- Use keyboard shortcuts (press / to focus search)
Configuring Contact Information
Keep your contact information current for important notifications:
- Go to Preferences → Contact Information
- Update your email address
- Set notification preferences
- Add a secondary email for critical alerts
- Click Save
Notification Preferences
Choose which notifications you want to receive:
- Disk usage warnings - When approaching storage limits
- Bandwidth notifications - When approaching transfer limits
- Account security - Login alerts and security notifications
- System updates - Important maintenance notices
Language Settings
To change the cPanel interface language:

- / - Focus the search bar
- Enter - Open selected item
- Tab - Navigate between sections
Favorite Features
Some cPanel themes allow you to bookmark frequently used features for quick access. Look for star icons next to feature names.
Reset to Defaults
If you want to restore default settings:
- Go to Preferences
- Look for reset options in individual preference sections
